Brand – Creating a vinyl campaign
Annlouise & Andy
As part of the London Mural Festival 2020 The Leadenhall Building commissioned two world-renowned artists, DRT and Carl Cashman, to paint the iconic ‘trumpet’ vents in a display of support for the arts.
To support the commissions and raise awareness of the festival association, Tonic was invited to create a typographical campaign taking inspiration from the artwork whilst communicating welcoming messages. Vinyl transfers were displayed on the glass windbreaks and pavements.
AIM

We created an 80’s neon themed après-ski experience with chalet bars serving vin chaud, mulled cider, donuts and beers in partnership with Black Sheep Coffee, retro ski simulators for head-to-head slalom racing, gift wrapping and an alpine cinema showing classic Christmas movie favourites.
Setting the scene with lit neon signs and festoon lighting, an old Corcheval cable car, snowy fir trees and warm sheepskin throws and fleeces. We created a snowflake icon using the angles of the building to decorate wind breaks and escalator panels to give the impression that it was snowing.
Activity was scheduled over a four week period with a launch event attracting a large number of tenants, and good attendance at weekly movie screenings and acoustic band nights for ski racing. A food market provided pop-up, alpine style food at lunch times and during event evenings.

Accouter FOUR, Accouter Design’s fourth luxury lifestyle publication, features the Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge, so there was a natural synergy to host the launch party in the Rolls-Royce showroom in Mayfair.
The showroom was cleared to create a New York Gallery style event space with white plinths to showcase luxury design pieces that inspired the designs featured in the publication.
A colour palate of rose gold and soft pink touches created with lighting and florals lent a convivial feel to the space whilst a live band, canapés and champagne provided by drinks partner Perrier-Jouët, enlivened the event. Over 100 guests attended including the most admired names in property, architecture and interior design.
AIM
Showcase the Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge inspired design feature within a setting conducive to creating a launch event.
